Invesdor has been named ‘National Winner’ in the 2019 European Business Awards, one of the world’s largest business competitions. Also, Helsinki Fintech Farm nominated Invesdor to compete for the title ‘Most Revolutionary Fintech Company in Finland’.

Invesdor was chosen from 109 Finnish businesses named as ‘Ones to Watch’ in a list of business excellence published in July and was selected a National Winner by a panel of independent judges including business leaders, politicians and academics.

Invesdor competes in the category of Innovation with Turnover of €0-25M, and will now go on to represent Finland in the final stage of the 2019 European Business Awards competition alongside eight other Finnish National Winner companies from different fields.

“I’m proud and happy to see our hard efforts paying off and Invesdor getting this international recognition. This year we have been very much focusing on international growth after our merger with the Austrian company Finnest GmbH", tells Lasse Mäkelä, Invesdor's founding member and CEO.

"We are going to be widening our focus from mostly Nordic growth companies to serving also bigger companies with our bond product while all the time looking to offer bigger equity rounds as well. Our intent is to launch our first bond round from an established, Austrian middle-sized company this autumn”, summarises Mäkelä.

Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards, said: “This is a significant achievement and Invesdor is an outstanding leader in the digital fundraising field. To be chosen as a National Winner means the firm shows great innovation, ethics and success and are one of the best businesses in Europe. We wish Invesdor the best of luck in the final round.”

Some weeks ago, Helsinki Fintech Farm also launched a public poll in Finland to scout for the most revolutionary fintech company in the country. After a tight competition, Invesdor was successfully shortlisted among the six finalists.

Mäkelä was also glad to notice Invesdor’s client Prasos among the other finalists. Prasos is the leading cryptocurrency broker service in the Nordic countries. The jury consisting of fintech investors and experts will announce the final winner at Future Digital Finance Forum on October 22nd.

The European Business Awards is now in its 12th year, and its primary purpose is to support the development of a stronger and more successful business community throughout Europe. This year it considered over 120,000 businesses from 33 countries.

Fintech Farm is the fintech hub of Helsinki operated by HUB13. It provides the Finnish finance industry with an international platform for innovation by bringing together financial institutions, fintech companies, regulators, service providers and fintech investors.

Invesdor is a pan-European financial technology company offering a wide range of digital financing solutions. The company holds a MiFID II license and operates online investment platforms that connect ambitious European growth companies with investors worldwide. Today, Invesdor Group has over 50,000 registered users from 150 countries who have invested more than 130 MEUR. In 2018, Invesdor also won the title ‘Best Nordic Fintech Startup’.
